throw some 3/4 osb between 2 of the 4' trusses. Running 24' on each side, then 4x8 osb, painted white for interior walls.
One of the neighbors when he asked what i was doing for work space. I told him CL for take off kitchen cabinets.
He says. Oh no i build you cabinets, just pay for materials. Well if you insist.
Depends if i want to go with cabinets, or line the walls with shelves like the CO shop was.

I'm curious if the fire resistance of drywall outweighs the cost savings over OSB. Also, if local code (anywhere) requires drywall in garages/shops for fire resistance. You'd think that'd be something I'd know.

Unfortunately drywall isn't up to the task of mounting shelves to, or securing work benches. Remember it's a detached garage, not attached. So certain building codes are not in play.
Once the structure is up and signed off, it's none of anyone's business how things are done in the garage, or workshop. AS long as utilities are to code..

I was asked on the permit application if there was going to be water / plumbing ran to the building. Of course not.

This is where your local code, comes in to play.

IF i were to run a water line. Then it's considered a dwelling / living space. That's where building / fire codes are adhered to

it also helps slow an errant 22 or so down. If it made it past a bullet trap and other backstop items. Hypothetically.

In that case, once you have the siding on, you should insulate between the walls with play sand.
