Walmart is discontinuing sales of short-barrel rifle ammunition such as the .223 caliber and 5.56 caliber, discontinuing sales of handgun ammunition and discontinuing handgun sales entirely in Alaska.

    Short barrel rifle ammunition, huh?

What is a short barrel on a rifle? I have a Marlin with an 18 inch, is that too short?

A bunch of baloney. If you are going to stop selling ammunition, stop. Quit playing baby games by hiding your intentions in semantics.

    What happened to honesty?

Another case of the media not knowing what they are talking about..

Walmart will stop selling all handgun ammunition and some short-barrel rifle ammunition such as the .223 caliber and 5.56 caliber after clearing current stock. Walmart did not comment on sales of other caliber ammunition.

I think the big take-away is banning open carry in their stores. Seems like a good way to increase shootings on the property, I don't remember the last time I was in a WM and didn't see at least one gun on a hip. Way to become a shooting gallery WM.

This sucks, I get most of my ammo from wally world. Most of the time I dont have a few hundred dollars to mail order a case so being able to pick up a box or 2 for cheap was real nice for me. Buying ammo at wallys was one of the big draws for me now I will find other places to do our shoping.

Walmart to stop selling auto parts to prevent car accidents. Pretty funny read.

My dad went in today to the Walmart off Powers and Woodmen or Palmer Park in COS. Apparently some guy was buying out the whole case of ammo.

Why don't you just go to the gun store in Ault? That is a quick driver from you. Great friendly people. They are also owned by one of the bigger LGS here in town but I cant remember.

Haha, why? There isn't a shortage of ammo.
