naturally being unable to squeeze past that vehicle means any damage incurred to said vehicle is on that moron who parked like that.
And it's also a good reason to call the local p.d . they're already parked outside the designated space. Blocking a handicapped parking spot is illegal
(4) Blocking access. (a) Regardless of whether a person displays an identifying plate or placard, a person shall not park a vehicle so as to block reasonable access to curb ramps, passenger loading zones, or accessible routes, as identified in 28 CFR part 36 appendix A, that are clearly identified unless the person is actively loading or unloading a person with a disability.
(b) A person who violates this subsection (4) is subject to the penalties in section 42-4-1701 (4) (a) (VIII).

I hate it when there are 20 handicap parking spaces and not one is being used. But I usually have off on weekdays, so maybe weekends are different and I don't see them being used so much. And I normally park way out of the way of anyway, so I really don't hate it, but note that it's kinda silly and SJWish.
Said by no person with a real HC ever. When you're unable to function normally, even small things that people don't think about in their daily lives can be limiting.
When working in a high rise building, I have to pretty much concede that I may not make it out alive if I have to evacuate via the stairs.
You don't have to go out of your way to not be an asshole to those that need accommodations. Being thoughtful about someone other than yourself shouldn't be 'special treatment'.

It depends on the store. There is a requirement that X percent of your total space be HC. A grocery store (everybody has to eat), including places like Sam's and Costco, tend to be really competitive for parking. Home Depot on the other hand, pretty much always has parking available. The Home Depot parking lots I've been in seem to be way bigger than they ever need, so more HC spots. Many HC can also limit how much DIY you can actually do, so they don't seem to get used as much.

I don?t mind the handicapped parking until you see that person with the permit that appears to be quite a bit more mobile than me using them. Like anything else, there are people who will take advantage of anything.
Well is see someone can be handicapped AND an asshole. Thanks GMAN.
Do you take everything as a personal attack directed at you? Probably, seeing as you seem to be the spokesperson for ALL handicapped people.
Being HC is one thing but being a jerk about it because you think everyone is somehow against you is another.
Please fell free to put a HC placard on all your post so we can respond accordingly to your protected class.
Have a blessed day.

I think there are certain government mandated minimums. Before our office built an additional parking lot, parking was at a huge premium. I think we have like 2 people who need the spots, but there were still a bunch of spots open. There were days I seriously debated using 'em anyway.
