KOAA here in the 'springs has got a bee in their bonnet about the Karen's Kafe in Calhan.

Normally KOAA has an occasional segment where they go to bat for individuals or small companies that government is effing over.

Not this time, they decided to go full Karen (not a reference to the name of the cafe) on this small business and are doing everything in their power to make sure Karen's Kafe gets shut down.

I can't find it at the moment, but in a segment in the last week they stated (from memory) "We waited outside 45 minutes and filmed this man going into the restaurant WITH A SMALL CHILD!!!!!" (do it for the children argument).

Why don't you wait outside a Walmart for 30 seconds and film the same thing?

Kinda disappointed in KOAA, but I've know for a long time they were far left.

Once they drew everyone's attention to the cafe, this of course was the inevitable result: https://www.koaa.com/news/coronaviru...d-desist-order

Ps. Last year they did a "in-depth 360" report on guns and their "balanced coverage" did not include a SINGLE person who had used a gun in self defense. Balanced my @$$.

YOU are the first responder. Police, fire and medical are SECOND responders.
When seconds count, the police are mere minutes away...
Gun registration is gun confiscation in slow motion.

I get chow at Karens when I come back from BLGC. The owners are prior service, good people and the chow is outstanding. I usually get the special, never been disappointed.

People can make the decision if they want to take the risk or not. The government has proven that they have no obligation to protect us, so get the EFF out of the way.

Will be interesting if/when state governments knee-jerk and try and shut things down again. I've certainly had my fill of it. I'll take dangerous freedom over socialist 'safety' every day.

    Good for them.

I hope they continue to stay open and do business against the ?law?.

We?ll see if the governor is prepared to go full on Ruby Ridge to prove how serious his ?laws? are.

I ate at C & C today. Going tomorrow for breakfast if they are open. I support what they are doing.

Of historical note a lot of the same pushback and entity-reopening was seen in 1918. People can Google "anti-mask league" to find a good historical read. Not a position on it, just interesting to see the historical analoges.

Not even news worthy in other parts of the country I guess. Did your bar have guns in it? Mine did.

Even in Colo. I guess Mesa county has a state-approved modification and restaurants are half open there, FWIW. I wonder if any other counties have their own schedule.
