We like ours for that same reason. Can?t keep up on hair. Only thing is the schedule. They are noisy. I notice it now more because I am home all the time.

Do you have a roomba or one of the more affordable ones?

Not sure about the $200 or less, but we have the 675 ($250 on amazon w/ Prime shipping) and it does fine. It's not super fancy, and re-docking is sort of a nightmare for it, so we hand dock it. It does a good job every night. We turn it on about 8pm and it's done around 930-10pm, depending on how hard it's working.

The brushes, sweeper and wheels will need to be cleaned often for a Pyrenees' presence, as the hair will roll up in it those parts.

It's a niche thing. It basically does a good surface clean on carpet and we supplement with a regular vacuum. For hardwood, it will be fine; we used it in Oklahoma on hard floors and it left the floors clean. For deep suction on carpet, a regular vacuum is better.

I named my 1st gen Roomba 'Deiter' & added googly eyes of course. Still works well (pet hair) though I've had to replace consumable parts a number of times. Slips past the boundry markers on occasion & ends up belly up @ the bottom of the stairs. Had to raise the sofa 1/4 inch with leveling feet to keep him from getting stuck too. No issues with docking.

I had a KOIOS brand from amazon. Worked pretty good for being really cheap. Decent quality. However the battery only lasted about a year. But it did it’s job and never had any issues with it.

For the record it’s name was Regina Regina The cleena Machinea

We have one, the dog keeps it pretty much clogged up. It was sub $200.
Works well if you clean it after ever use and have a wide open floor plan.
