1 truck and the utility trailer are registered. All will be leaving the state soon, I'll chance the tickets before I give em more money.

You're right, but traveling out of state with expired plates isn't something I'd like to chance.

At 76' bumper-bumper, +2 feet to transom, I'm already running over the legal length limit in every state except WY.

Credit Zundfolge: The left only supports two "rights"; Buggery and Infanticide.
Credit roberth: List of things Government does best; 1. Steal your money 2. Steal your time 3. Waste the money they stole from you. 4. Waste your time making you ask permission for things you have a natural right to own. "Anyone that thinks the communists won't turn off your power for being on COAR15 is a fucking moron."

Just a FYI for folks, they changed it so if you are expired more than 12 months, they delete the plate and you have to purchase new plates and they'll make you pay sales tax again.

The pinnacle of stupidity though, is that (big secret) LEO can't easily search them once they are deleted. DMV has to hand search for them. So, pretty sure LEO here, among other reasons, doesn't like pulling over heavily expired because they can't get any kind of timely feedback from dispatch as to whether the driver is likely friendly or a known serial killer.

I am notoriously forgetful about putting the sticker on my plate. I always renew on time, but even now my registration sticker is shoved in my glove box, even though I've had it for two months. I'll use this as a reminder to go stick it on today...probably. I usually only think about it when there is a cop behind me. But they've never pulled me over for it. I figured it was because they could see I was registered when they run the plate, and have better things to do with their time.
Math is tough. Let's go shopping!

Where do you see that sales tax has to be paid again?

    Interesting choice of descriptions.
The news release from the Governor is labeling this as the Colorado Dividend.
Dividends in the corporate world are distributions of profits.
The Governor considers taxes as profits???????

Didn?t click the link but if there?s some sort of surplus of money I?d rather they just fixed some of the crappy roads around here.

Also, are they only dishing this money out to the people who have loaned them money interest free throughout the year by paying more taxes than they owe?

before we moved i was going to get another temp tag from dmv. They wanted 5 yrs of unpaid lic fees, as well as taxes and other penalties prior to issuing me a temp tag. n Dropped by the trailer place we purchased it from. Asked the guy , How much for another temp tag, so i could move the trailer. Guy looks at my BOS, goes in to the office, walks back with a new temp tag. No charge he says. Threw him $50 for his time. Compared to the $500+ the state wanted.

AZ issues a 1 time, permanent plate for all trailers. Cost $140

Read other news. The state wants crappy roads. They are saying because of ozone levels, non-electric motor vehicle traffic has to be reduced. Why would the state encourage driving by having nice roads if that is their goal.

The State also doesn’t understand why concentration of ozone have increased the last two decades. It shouldn’t take any more than a half a brain (which obviously they don’t have) to figure out more people = more waste/consumption (heating, driving, toilets, landfills, etc) that will occur in an area.

Ironically I saw a study an something like 20% (it was a high number) of the energy consumption / pollution is coming from
    Marijuana growing operations in Colorado.
