Yup- The "massive" tax windfall of legalization was one of the huge carrots dangled in front of the Colorado populace back in the day. However, whenever anyone asks for examples of broad spectrum tangible benefits, it's always caveated with a "Yeah, but...".

And right after you graduate this class they should mandate a "Collateral Damages of Marijuana Legalization" Bachelor of Arts curriculum.
    Such as:
Why auto insurance rates rise after legalization
Why the MVA rate skyrockets after legalization
Why homelessness increases exponentially after legalization
Why property crimes increase after legalization
Why the motor vehicle theft rate increases after legalization
Why Cartel activities continue to persist after legalization
Why the tax dollars collected on marijuana sales do not go to their "intended" purpose
Why hard drug use has continued to rise after legalization

Snippets like this should be part of the presentation*:
"Tragedy" isn't quite the description I would use, unless describing the fallout for the homeowner. I am not a big fan of pot, but he clearly has legal right to be growing his own on his property and an expectation that the product will not be stolen by armed juvenile thieves.

Your quoting of my post in the other thread raises another topic which I didn't think about earlier- Are you legally allowed to own/possess firearms while simultaneously being a cannibis grower/user? I know it's a no no on the 4473, but many guns have been owned / transferred outside such formal paperwork. I am sure it happens all they time, but this would be a scenario, like post-ban dates mags, where it could cause issues.

    No.
Being in possession of marijuana makes one a "Prohibited Person" to the best of my knowledge.
