I would be tempted to do it on hot days in stopped traffic, but my FJR has hard bags on it and I don't think I would fit between the cars.

If I had something slimmer, I would consider it in certain circumstances.

I?m sure even with the bags your FJR is pretty slim compared to my Ultra Limited.

I?ll skip the lane splitting because even if I get to the front of the line it?s not like I?ll be pulling away from the crowd on my road sofa.

About time… I was stuck on I 70 10 years ago on my bike. Guy next to me on his bike, leather clad, all black including the helmet, started to sweat profusely under the sun. After a few minutes, he started showing serious signs of heat exhaustion… yeah: being stuck in traffic when you can split a lane with your bike is not ideal.

But I wanna be more special than others who use the roads!
    What next? Bicycles on I-25?

You choose to ride a bike, you should not get special privilege. I see enough bad behavior from them on the roads already. It not my job to clear the way so you can execute your stupid attempts out there.

I think it's a good idea. At least I know that I can ride down the shoulder without getting a ticket. My Harley tends to get hot sitting in traffic while idling.

I have a car that does the same thing. Can I drive on the shoulder too?

Better yet you can just split the lanes and drive in between the other vehicles.

I think even with a lane splitting law that driving on the shoulder is still illegal.
