Default I want a double rifle

    Who's got one?

I got to handle a .470NE Merkel yesterday and I want one.
    it's only $11,000

I still want one. I just need to raise my prices.

yeah, that's where I handled the Merkel.
I'm thinking those .600NE rounds would be perfect for groundhogs!!!!!!!!

If someone ever discovers a breed of burrowing elephants that wreck havoc on ranch lands, we'll know who to call.

When I was young, stupid and living in Nairobi, I got to handle a bunch of double rifles. Holland & Hollands, Purdys, Berettas, ect. Being 1993 the prices were not that bad. If the importation laws were not so difficult, I would have brought back a 416 or a 470 Capstick.

And I was staying at the Hotel New Stanley. I had no friggin idea how much history that place had.

When I went back in 2006 I made sure to not make the same mistakes.

    AND?

you got to handle them all (you suck BTW, but we'll let that go), and your feelings about them were?
    what was good?
    what was bad?

    etc

Have you seen the reasonable price Remington/Baikal?
    $1200
Built like a soviet tank or Ak-47
    Chrome Lined barrel and Chamber
Popular calibers.... but in OUR country only available in 30-06 and 45-70
    Remington SPR22 (relabeled Baikal)
    Baikal MR221

It will take about 100 rounds to break in so you won't need to put it across you knee to open. Then it will be great. Not a pretty gun.. a utility gun that won't fail.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
