I've been with Verizon for over 10 years now. My contract is up in about 9 days. I don't really want to renew my contract, but I don't want to go to any other company either. Verizon works for me out in the Pawnee Grass Lands, and up at my cabin in Tabernash. My Fiance's Cricket phone doesn't work at either place, or I'd just get Cricket.

For me its a love hate relationship, I love that anywhere I go, I have coverage. What I hate is the fact that they charge for every little service, I mean really do I have to pay 5 bucks a month just to get visual Voice-mail?!?! Although Visual Voice-mail is free with the iPhone.

I cut my bill in half by removing the internet, VZ navigator, and reducing my minutes to 400/mo with unlimited text. Then I started going over on my minutes, and instead of paying only $50, I was paying $125 (instead of the original $90)! The first time, I thought I just missed a month and was paying for two months. Now I'm back up to 900 minutes/month, unlimited text, and 5 numbers that get unlimited talk for like $80/mo.

What bothers me is that the guy at the store told me that without a contract, their cheapest phone was like $220. They have some CRAP phones and for that price, I can get a laptop computer. I saw WAY better prices online though.

I'd consider getting a phone that worked as a wi-fi hotspot, but only if I can stream netflix on my Wii from it, and it is robust enough to cancel my cable internet from Comcast, AND it only costs me that extra $30/mo unlimited Data charge. Some how I doubt that is the case, but I haven't looked yet.

If its verizon, the 3G hot spot itself is 2gigs a month. then its $20plus for every gig after that. You should be fine if your just streaming

we need a cell company to put a tower up out here. The nearest one is 18 miles from my house. I have to go outside and climb on the roof of the metal barn, while holding a steel rod in a lightning storm to get coverage.

but, then I allways feel so tingly, I dont know why...

I have verizon, att doesnt even come close to having coverage out here.
