LOL - i had that same thought when I first found out about them. But when I looked at paying $60 with shipping for wheat as opposed to 7 bucks I figured I'd give it a go and just see how it was. It's staffed by volunteers and everyone was very friendly and helpful. If you want to pack #10 cans they show you how use the equipment etc. I did a few and actually it was fun. There was no proselytizing or anything. It was a very positve experience. And I filled up the back of my pickup for very little money.

When you get there go to the north end of the building not the south end. The south end is where they do the wet pack canning and north is where they have the bulk goods, etc.
