That could never happen cause it wasn't in the Bible. We are the only ones. Yup 100% fact that hasn't been proven yet........

So because its not in the bible means it doesn't exist? To show how little we know, we know more about space than we do our own oceans. If we don't know much about our deepest oceans, how can we think we know about other planets. The bible doesn't explian other planets. Just earth. So you saying there are no other planets?

I think Jordan was being sarcastic, hard to tell sometimes.

I'm well aware of the size of the universe, and the Drake equation, in fact here's an awesome way to look at it:

    http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=drake+equation

I do think there probably are intelligent alien species out there, in fact that statement is probably as close as I come to "faith", however I don't think they're going to come in triangle shaped ships, at night, with red marker lights. If a species has the capability of interstellar travel, they'll either visit here and leave no trace, or come with no subtly, ala Battle LA or District 9.

I don't have proof that road flares were what was seen, of course. It's not dissimilar from what was seen in Phoenix a number of years ago, and someone there admitted to conducting the prank. I think the fact that they're red, non-equidistant hints at that being what it was.

I'd love to have some kind of LIDAR stations that could confirm whats up there in these kinds of events. Maybe old WWII style search lights. Something along the lines of http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Starfire_Optical_Range ... there's another I can't remember the name, essentially it's a global network of automated cameras that constantly scan the sky with a wide field view, looking for flashes, and when they discover one that's more than a few hundred thousand miles away (triangulation comes in to weed out aircraft and the ISS/satellite flashes) they will automatically send messages to a bunch of telescopes to slew over and check it out. It was designed to locate things like Gamma Ray Burst sources, super nova, etc.

Personally, I come far closer to believing in alien visitors that I do to "invisible supreme beings" wearing robes and sitting on golden thrones on top of clouds. And angels with wings, halos and harps. And all that stuff. Many, many people claim to have seen UFO's and aliens, nobody claims to have seen angels and gods though. I find that interesting. Are they one in the same?

Yes I was being totally sarcastic. There has to be something else in this universe. People try to explain how big it is but it still freaks me out and makes you feel so small literally and figuratively.

What kills me is that there always has to be water and O2 for life. Thats what things on this planet need, why couldn't there be some life that eats arsenic and breaths helium? Or even so element that hasn't been discovered yet cause its not on this planet.

And maybe they are playing jokes on us, ever burn ants or seen bumfights. I've had dogs that have a sense of humor, so why not aliens.

There are forms of life that don't require oxygen I think.

I've never understood that quote. Like how do they KNOW they know more about space than the oceans? Isn't space infinite? How do they know there isn't just going to be some unholy plethora of unknown stuff that just bonks them on the head?
