I'm torn on him, because I like a lot of his stances, but I have a few issues with some of his social stances. None of his issues I don't like are really deal breakers for me.
But I don't like how he opposes the death penalty, and his past voting record on abortion, but his stance has changed on that. I do like him on a lot of stuff though.
I don't think he would make it far enough, but I would vote for him if he was the one who made it to the dance.

Lol there is that. BTW by "get it" I don't mean "get my vote," he gets how the world works and how we can't keep heading down the road we're on. Google for some of his interviews and whatnot, see if you agree. He's the former US ambassador to the UN and really understands his chit.
Sadly, third party candidates will NEVER break the stranglehold that the 2 primary parties control.
The GOP has fallen too far away from their roots to embrace more and more liberal ideologies and they are too arrogant and stupid to see how badly this is hurting them and the nation. They continue to select individuals as their candidates that just can't stand up to the scrutiny of the biased media and as such, of the American public.
This leaves us with the Democratic Party candidate. The memory of the standard American is slightly more than 3 weeks long when it comes to anything negative. Since the U.S. Navy Seals (not Obama) took out Osama bin Laden, Obama has been reaping the benefits and the media has been enforcing this. Obama has been rising steadily in public opinion polls since the bin Laden story broke. People are one again seeing him as some sort of messianic figure and failing to recall all of the negatives associated with this clown.
Somewhere since the end of WWII we've lost the idea of public service for the sake of the public - with no real chance of self-promotion or gain. The true idealists who want to do the right thing are quickly gnashed in the jaws of those in both major political parties who stand to lose so much if those who want to do the right thing have their way.
Greed. This is ultimately the root of our problems. Greed in both the arena's of control and money. Find this difficult to believe? Show me just one major political figure from the last 10 years who hasn't left political office with far more money in their bank accounts than their substantial public salaries provided. Then, look again at their accounts just 5 and even 10 years after leaving office. Most of these folks are millionaires. How can being an honorable public servant propel you to this type of financial windfall? It can't. Only by selling out those who you've sworn to represent faithfully to large pocketed private industry can you achieve this degree of financial security from being a "public servant". Only the unscrupulous among us have a chance of obtaining a major political office. Those who will stop at nothing to obtain what they perceive as their entitlement. They usually find supporters who see the potential for their own gain if they become members of the inner-circle. They then spin their webs to ensnare the weak-minded of our populace with promises of something - not for nothing, but for simply giving up a little of what those poeple don't value - their rights and freedoms.
Sure, I'd vote for a candidate like Allen West. But I'd never dare to hope that such a candidate would win the peoples vote - the sheep don't want a leader, they want a shepherd that promises to GIVE them something for "nothing".
Sarah Palin? Yes, I find here especially attractive and I've love to have her as a friend or neighbor, but I don't want her as my President.
Ladies and Gents: Unless the GOP pulls their collective heads our of their butts and produces a candidate outide of their current political pool, I'm afraid we're doomed to 4 more years of Obama and his antics. In fact, a second term in office will likely produce devastation far beyond what his first term demonstrated he is capable of.
If I were you, I wouldn't get to hopeful that you can quit using the term "President Obama" any time soon.

There is some hope. It's sounding more and more like Jim DeMint might throw his hat in the ring. One of 10 that voted against the extension of of the so called "Patriot Act" and an A+ rating from the GOA.
As for Barry later being fund to not be eligible, it would be pretty cool if it happened and they had to repeal every law that he signed. Of course we're still screwed financially, since that money is long gone, but it would eliminate things like obamacare.
Lets just get the Obamanation out of the Fng office! Anyone will be better than that lying BASTARD!! And move on!
