Open carry food drive idea.

THIS. A better plan would be just do the food drive and donate said food to local shelters. A bunch of homeless folks many of which are mentally unstable around that many guns could backfire horrendously. However the basic idea is a good one, just not that way. Get the food, donate it and get the positive press without the unnecessary risks.

Villa parker. It's a big time venue which is now trying to get into the non profit charity thing. My wife is a coordinator there.. I could see about availability...

Yeah, I think we are just talking about donating the canned foods and bbq for us.

along my same thinking. I don't really want people at their lowest point staring at my high dollar handgun. all it takes is them thinking of a reason to go for it and then all of a sudden my good intentions turn into a news story about open carry awareness to help the homeless turning into a crazed gun toting madman gunning down innocent and helpless homeless people just trying to score a hot meal.

I work with the homeless all day, i know what kind of mind set there in. most of them have bigger guns then most of us do. mostley for protection in the streets but most have foul intentions. so i can gaurantee we wont be the only ones armed. most of the shelters downtown in denver are in a not so good area so i would have to pass. i think its a great idea but i can see something going wrong and we get the blame cause of our guns. if its just a can food drive im in.

im in, i know most of the shelters and stuff i can get us a list of places who need food. just let me know
