One of the geologists at work said one of the most capable of serious damage and overdue to move is the Dakota fault. You know, the same one that makes up Dakota Ridge- the hogback just west of Denver.

I've been through a lot of quakes, being from Alaska. It's a strange feeling sleeping on the ground in a tent and It sounds like a frieght train from under water.

Every time I look at our mountains I wonder about the seismic forces that made 'em heave up in the first place. Especially the Front Range. I sure don't want to be around for the next time!

i read once that colorado has about a hundred small quakes every year.

and no i don't want to have another one like they used to have around here.
