Speaking of tasty animals, the girls down there at The Fort are generally pretty cute...

Where in Durango are you? If you want some seriously tasty dead animals, check out Serious Texas BBQ (the one down south by the river, not the one on the north end of town).
Yup, already been there. I moved here from Texas, I miss Rudy's, but Serious Texas BBQ is a excellent replacement.

I'm down at the Durango Year Round RV Park. I moved here to fly a King Air for Flight for Life Colorado.

Stoked to be here for sure, but I will admit, winter has me spooked.

Welcome to town...winter is great here! First thing to do is join the gun club, then get a 4 wheel drive.

Is that the one on like the northwest end of town? I have a few buddies that live up there. I used to live down across the river from Serious Texas.

We have a weird winter cycle here. We get hit really hard one winter, then the next one is just a bit wet, then the next one is more like fall, and then we get hit hard again. We're due for a big one this time, and Durango is usually hit hard even when the Denver area isn't.
Get something with 4 wheel drive, a small lift kit, and some good tires. My F250 6" lift and 37's could hardly tell there was a foot + of snow on the ground, but a truck or jeep with 35's or even 33's will get you by just fine. The biggest thing is learning how to drive in the wet stuff.
