    Default The $1B question...

I'm just curious- because I posted this:

to my Facebook wall (let's not start a dumb FB debate here), and my buddy's girlfriend commented "Dislike" on it. I know for a fact if I got this bumper sticker, regardless of my NRA, 10th MTN, and Afghanistan Campaign Veteran stickers (not to mention US Army plates) my car would probably be vandalized. But no one ever wonders if their car will be vandalized for having Obama stickers... why the double standard? I don't want my car keyed because I put up a neat sticker (although I don't like to display my political affiliation on my vehicle). I just don't get it! People called Bush evil and stupid and all these other names and insults and no one really gets up in arms about it, but the second I say that Obama is a moronic, inexperienced, socialist pig people jump on me like I just did the Hiel Hitler. What gives? Really?

The simple answer is that conservatives are better people than liberals.

That's not to say there aren't some good folk that are liberals and some assholes that are conservatives, but in the aggregate most conservatives are decent folk that respect other people, their opinions and their property and most liberals are self absorbed, childish schmucks who respect no one and nothing. Furthermore most liberals believe they are not only right but saintly and conservatives are not only wrong but evil.
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".

Because we as a nation identify ourselves through more patriotic symbolism than any other country on the planet. When people are asked what best describes them as a people in other countries, they point to more cultural aspects. Americans are fanatically devoted to country in comparison. Every study in this area has pointed this out. This also makes us more devoted to our politics, and therefore more sensitive to political opposition. You don't see this level of polarization in a lot of countries. They take politics in stride for the most part. Interestingly enough, the other countries with high levels of self-identity through it's governing systems also have higher levels of political strife. None are even close to the good ole USA though. It's a doubled-edged sword... Good and bad in it.

Anyone that thinks war is good is ignorant. Anyone that thinks war isn't needed is stupid.

Wow... I couldn't have put it better myself. And they really are childish. The second you disagree with them they raise their voice, and never shut up so you don't get to put your $.02 in. I hate it, and even had to put my hands on one to try and get my piece in a debate (not violently, I just grabbed his arm and told him to let me speak). I ended my bit with "Grow the fuck up!"

I'm not one to smash out someone's back window for having an "Obama|Biden 2012" sticker, but I'm very sure if I went to concert at Red Rocks I'd have my car keyed and beat up if I had an anti-Obama sticker. I hate to say it, but I'd rather this whole country just be 100% conservative than have any liberals at all... it's gotten to the point where their stupidity has forced me to become addicted to Advil.

It's that whole liberal "tolerance" thing. They're the most tolerant people in the world as long as you believe like they do.

Read some Ann Coulter books. No one can explain liberalism like she does.

because in liberals eyes, unless you agree with them, you are absolutely wrong, your opinion and voice does not count and you deserve some sort of recourse for your actions.

I actually like that idea and I flip off every person I see driving with an Obama sticker. I think they should be held responsible for their opinions. They are fully entitled to have them, as am I.

I also flip off the coexist stickers out of pure principal. I want to see if they truly live their life as their sticker suggests. I want to see if they can "coexist" with me

A few years back my kid had his wisdom teeth extracted, my wife was driving him home, he proceeded to give the finger to a car with an obama sticker. In general he is quite respectful and my wife was shocked he cursed in front of her. Guess I got a few things right during his up-bringing.

    cheers,
    Tim
