We just finished a press briefing with Colorado Springs Police about the standoff at 1515 Canoe Creek Dr. That's in a neighborhood on the city's southwest side near Fort Carson. Police tell us 57 year old Keith Johnson is currently armed and barricaded inside his home. It started when police were called to the home on a domestic dispute. Johnson has told police he will either kill himself or engage in a shootout with police. Sgt. Darrin Abbink with CSPD tells us Johnson is still talking to negotiators. It's believed that Johnson is the only one in the home. He has several weapons inside the home Johnson will be facing misdemeanor domestic violence charges. Some homes in the area have been evacuated.

That is why I live across the tracks in the Ghetto. Aint no crap like that happen here. Last domestic was the solder across the street 2 years ago. He and wife were having a knock-down drag out on the front lawn.
