Now thats a cop car! I had an 88 ex NHP notchback, freakin loved that car, wish I woulda kept it.

Dad was issued couple Mustang 5.0 like this as the interceptor unit back in the 80's and early 90's for Arizona DPS. It out preformed all the crown vics by miles. Aside from having a sports car as a unit he loved the fact that he didn't have to transport BGs because it was a two door.



Hey, I won't argue that 80's Mustangs looked great, they didn't, but the interceptor model did preform.

Gigantic waste of taxpayer dollars, these "public servants" don't need fast, expensive, sportscars, their radio is faster than any car on the road, and they are usually not supposed to get into testosterone fueled chases. So why do these "revenooers" need fast cars??? Just cause the state has a giant open wallet called the taxpayer, that's why. What a bunch of baloney.

Go $hit on a different thread. Most of us around here don't think BGs should have a get out of jail free card by simply having a faster car than the police.

On wide open long stretches of interstate (where these interceptors are typically used) radios don't help much because there my not be another unit up ahead for MILES. What good does it do to call ahead to lay a spike strip if the BG turns off somewhere in between and no unit is following him to notice?

Besides you lose your point that it's a "waste of tax payer dollars" when you say that they are "revenooers". Which is it? Do they use tax payer dollars or the money generated by tickets to buy these cars?
