The USGI Mag NSNs (1005-01-561-7200) and (1005-00-921-5004) costs $9.13 each and has a non-deteriorating shelf life. At a cost difference of $7.15 each, you can outfit a 'normal' company element (~100 Soldeirs) for $11,396 (PMAG) vs. $6,391 (USGI).

Here's the 'So What:' You can buy all new PMAGs (expensive magazines) for the deployed strength of my entire BRIGADE for less than the cost of ONE Soldier's SGLI.
