Default I'm back and I'm hitched + Hawaii

Well I'm back and I'm hitched and my wife's a hottie.
Got married June 2nd and left for Hawaii June 4th. Had a great time on Kauai, but didn't like Oahu as much, except for Pearl Harbor. My brand new wife and I both thought Honolulu might as well have been Japan. Too big and crowded and almost entirely Asian culture. Quite strange for us... Somehow they had lost the Hawaiian culture. It made us both appreciate where we live a little more .

Stayed in Oahu for 6 months and really didn't like it... Kona is nice though... but Guam will always be my island

Dang. I have a trip to Oahu coming up soon. Might have to shuffle my plans a bit and book a flight to one of the other islands as well while I'm there.

Congratulations on the new wife. Gotta say though....

Welcome back, congrats on the wife and everything!

I definitely want to visit Guam. Puerto Rico too. Have you be to Puerto Rico?

    No Puerto Rico...

Guam is a smaller Oahu... but you can drink and bar b que on the beaches in Guam

Try to time it with a village fiesta...! You won't regret

There are nice spots on Oahu, don't get me wrong... but Honolulu has some trashy parts with Waikiki in particular being too crowded for our taste. Kauai was more our style.

The young locals there love to scrap... tha's another thing I hated over there. They stare at you like you owe them money or something in some cases... it's usually the one with the loudest voice that wins the fight though
Waik's is always a fun place to trip... Hookers running up to you asking if you need a date and then by 10 or 11 in the evening... The real interesting ones (cross dressers, drunks, etc..) come out.. wonder if it's still the same like that.

Either way.. I hope you enjoyed your time there, and didn't experience to much bad stuff... can't deny the beautiful beaches and the good surf though.... ooohhhh... and the good eats, yea! SPAM!

hahaha! Fortunately that wasn't it. We didn't get in to any fights (or see any fights), maybe the hookers kept their distance since I had my wife on my arm the whole time, but I'm usually pretty good at spotting them . I didn't pin point any for sure... There were a couple who we both did double takes on though, but that happens everywhere these days. Lots of drunks and lots of spam still there.
