Every time I see these kinds of videos my first thought is pride.

But then I'm saddened because I realize that if (and more increasingly its looking like WHEN) our government decides to take our freedoms by force, we'll have zero chance of mounting a successful defense.

You are assuming that members of OUR military will turn those guns on us. I don't know what the future will bring, but I do not foresee a time when OUR military will conduct these types of impressive operations against US.

I agree there's no way in hell our brothers in arms would turn guns on American citizens. Every Marine knows there is no obligation to follow unlawful orders.

I tend to think the same thing. That if our military were ordered against US citizens, they'd look at Washington and say "you fuckin' want us to do WHAT? Against our familes, friends and neighbors? Fuck YOU! Our jobs are to defend them from all enemies, foreign AND DOMESTIC! Guess where politicians like you fall in that description?"

I really believe that our military and LEO's, even though trained to follow orders, will NOT turn on US citizens. Orders are one thing, but orders to murder your own people? Maybe they do that in other countries but I just can't see that happening here, at least not on a large scale. Maybe isolated incidents with troublemakers, but not general "herd 'em all up into the camps" bullshit like what happens in various dictatorships.

I've never understood how dictators like Hitler, Stalin, Saddam, Khadafy, Assad, and how many dozens of others......can obtain so much power like that. Seems to me that people would say "that MF'ers a lunatic, we'd better eliminate that threat right now and do something different."

Go hunt down the "29 palms survey" and you'll see that of the Marines surveyed about a quarter of the said they'd follow orders requiring them to fire on US citizens.

Thankfully a sizable chunk of the US military would take our side, but whether they'd also be flying gunships with night and IR targeting systems or they'd be on the ground with us is yet to be seen.
