"I am a conservative. Quite possibly I am on the losing side; often I think so. Yet, out of a curious perversity I had rather lose with Socrates, let us say, than win with Lenin."

On my 21st birthday I purchased a Ruger Super Blackhawk. Still have it. I changed the grips right away but still have them. Also, two girl friends I had at the time were into leather and made me holsters, one cowboy style and one as a cavalry flap style.
I will never sell it.

I always had a .22 rifle and a .410 shotgun since I was a little kid. When I was 20 I bought a Ruger Super Blackhawk in 44 mag. Didn't like it so much so shortly after my 21st birthday I sold it and bought a brand spanking new Colt 1911 in .45 ACP. Shot the hell out of that handgun for the next four or five years until I sold it and bought a Glock.
Remington 870 for my 18th. Still have it.
Glock 21 (1st-gen) for my 21st. I sold it, though: the grip was just too dang big.
Kind of wish I had it back, now, just for the sentimental value.
Good Lord, you know how many years ago that was? But I don't remember ever buying a gun for any "occasion". I'm an impulse buyer, I buy what I stumble across.
My 21st B-Day, Cross roads of the west gun show. Ruger Super Blackhawk 44mag, brand new. And still have it. 20 years ago. Time flies when your having fun right!!![]()
