    Lots of wind yesterday. Blew out the pilot light on the heater and the water heater. Great way to start the norning with no heat and no hot water. First time in ten years. At least the coffee maker worked.

    No freeze here in the southwest yet, getting cold though low of mid 30s. supposed to get to freezing temps this weekend.

    My parents live in the san luis valley they froze 2 weeks ago... I am scrambling to get the tomato plants under some sort of shelter for the night. so many unripe tomatoes

    I gave up on the maters last week. Had a pretty good batch this year though.

    My late crop was going absoulty nuts! i have at least 40 tomatoes an inch to inch and a half in diameter but no where close to ripe yet.

    Man i havent blown out the sprinklers, removed the window A/C unit, or winterized the boat yet! It was cold as hell last night with all the wind blowing in around the A/C unit! I am hopeing for a couple trips to Boyd for some fall bass fishing before i winterize it though.

    Up here in the hills, mine did great right off the bat. But I started with 2' high plants. I did Celebrity and Yellow Pear this year.
