    Default New guy

Hey guys, new to Denver and new to the forum. I came in from arizona a few weeks ago and now that I'm settled in I have time for hobbies like my guns. Well in AZ I primarily used Backpage.com as a source of buying, selling, trading guns and parts. I noticed here in Denver, Backpage doesn't seem to be very popular. Just wondering if there is a reason that is so or if there is anything similar for buying selling and trading used stuff here. I know most of the firearm rules are the same here so I don't think that would be an issue. If you have the time go check out phoenix's backpage in the sports equipment and you will see hundreds of posts everyday with guns, tactical gear, knives, all kinds of cool stuff for sale and trade. Looking forward to becoming more familiar with the area and getting to see what Denver is all about.

Looks like another craig's list, and the few firearms there have arms list prices.
Most members here like getting a feel for a member by their posts and feedback and can deal with confidence.
My T.P. wheeling and dealing feedback is here.

Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one, and it stinks more than mine.

Backpage is just a great site to look at hookers.

Honestly, you are probably asking the wrong crowd. Most of us sell/buy here. However we require you to be a productive member for 30 days before we allow you in to the trading post areas. It helps to keep out the spammers, scammers and deadbeats.

Well, I didn't mean to offend anyone with the questions. I have had great luck with backpage in the past when I have wanted to unload items such as old flashlights, holsters, tactical gear, etc. I my opinion I'd rather have a couple hundred extra rounds in my safe than a optic i no longer have use for of a old holster for a gun I no longer own. I DO have to agree that backpage has a bad rep from the hookers though. It is kinda ridiculous that they let that happen.

Thanks for the input, I was just trying to see if there is ways to enjoy my hobby of guns without having to order everything off the internet and rather support the community I live in.

Yep, there are several options. 3 of which were mentioned here.

Here (once you've waited the probationary period)

The prices and deals here are generally better, because it is a more closed and trusted community where one's reputation will follow them once established..

Are you still talking about the hookers? How long does someone have to wait for that section to open up? Is that why so many people "boost their post count?"

(That was a joke for those who didn't catch on)
