That is certainly true but the vast majority of those that partake regularly typically fit into the stereotype described by Danimal.

“Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.” — C.S. Lewis.

Heres how I see it, All Colorado really did was vote to put a tax on it, much like alcohol. why is that such a bad thing? the revenues from the taxation of Weed will go towards providing for new roads, better pay for our state employees (which will make them want to preform better), and many other endeavors that Colorado has seen fit to do with our tax dollars. I voted for it, I dont really agree with the face value assessment of the amendment but when I dug a little deeper I decided the benefits to our state could possibly out-weigh the negative aspects of it.

I have always said, I do not care what you do... I just don't want to have to support you or the habit.

There is so much weed going around now. Do you really think that all of the people smoking it illegally are going to go legit and pay taxes on it?? They are going to keep getting it from their same illegal sources and Uncle Sam or the State won't see a dime.

Regardless, the state will get more money with weed being legal, than if it was still illegal.
