    I Americans didn't want Cocaine, meth, marijuana, slaves the Cartels would be out of business.. We used to love the cheap labor Mexico provided..

    Hey, you guys will get no argument from me here - These points are spot on. The demand comes from here. What's the solution? I'm not sure.. The war on drugs is a miserable failure. You're always going to have a percentage of the population that will 'abuse' substances. It doesn't matter if they are drinking, snorting coke, or huffing paint. I'm not sure how it would all play out but some mixture of legalization and decriminalization seems to make sense. I've seen fewer junkies on the streets of Amsterdam than I have in any major US city. (Maybe because they were all chilling in the gov methadone clinics...) And I certainly don't want to support inmates incarcerated for drugs in the US prison system. Letting addicts OD? Darwinism.........
