Went to pawnee saturday and stopped at the Greeely on the way up. Went by the ammo counter and could not believe my eyes.

That is the one caliber I am short of now. I would have never thought we would run out of .22lr but it is harder to find then anything.

I filled four .30 cal ammo cans with Winchester, Remington, Federal and Blazer .22 ammo a few years ago. A can full to the top of .22's is an awesome sight! Getting pretty low on the Federals now.

Hot tip - if you're going to do this and fill a can full of the same kind of .22's, tear a label off one of the boxes and put it in the can so you'll always know exactly what they are.

Damn you lucky SOB. I went to Wal Mart the other day, there were maybe half a dozen boxes in the entire case and a note taped to the case saying something like "Due to.... blah blah blah.... limit to 3 boxes of ammunition per customer per day."

Yeah, I picked up some of those this weekend and set them aside for the Boy Scouts. Of course, if they are able to find their own, I'm sure I'll get a chance to shoot them myself.
