I found the perfect side mount that I need to put a flashlight on the Ultimak rail on my M1 carbine on eBay, and the seller actually lives here in Parker, same town as me! Yet he won't sell it to me directly, gotta go through eBay and PayPal. He sells all kindsa shit, and there's no way his entire inventory is listed on eBay at the same time, so WTF? Meet me someplace and I'll give ya cash for it!

The same mount is listed on eBay by a LOT of sellers, so it must be a common one, but his BIN price is good, an he's right here in town fer chrissake. I just don't understand people sometimes.

I found a good deal over on arfcom by a local [frt range] seller. He insisted on "shipping it to my ffl" even though it was a 30 min drive for each of us. I passed explaining if my CCW wasn't good enough for a ftf neither was my money. This was for a complete 20" upper. DUDE it's not a serialized item

I have a Plainfield M1 Carbine with an Ultimak rail handguard and red dot sight on it for home defense use. Just want to hang a light on the side as well. It only has one rail, not a quad like an AR.

Might be he is a seller on ebay that does not maintain inventory.
A lot of regular ebay sellers have the item drop-shipped from a wholesaler or manufacturer after the ebay sale is completed.
He has over 29,000 Feedbacks and is an ebay store, so I am guessing he does not keep inventory.
