    The Army field manual specifically states that civilian disarmament is one of the 1st things you need to do when you occupy any territory.. Why would anyone think that Army Brass would think any differently?

    The Brass usually aren't real soldiers. Half the guys above the rank of Captain are privileged frat boys not much different from a politician. If they haven't got a tab on their arm they should not be commanding combat troops . . . especially if they are "leading" from a fortified bunker far from the front lines.
