I don't feel as if it's a hard question at all. When we submit, we are assuming that it's to a person who is trying to follow Gods will. Our government does not seem too follow that line of thought. So, yes, while we try to respect, obey, etc we still have an obligation to tell them they are in the wrong, etc. Hate the sin but love the sinner type deal.. God didn't always talk about love and peace. There are times when you turn the other cheek to show mercy, love, etc. But there are also times when judgment must come. For instance, Luke 22 (v36 I think), Jesus tells his disciples to sell their cloak and buy a sword.
