Robby, first off, good on ya! Hope it was fun... But the thing I'm wondering, how old is your daughter? By that picture she looks like a teen, not young enough to be classified as a "child." Just saying. Has she asked for an AR-15 for her birthday, yet?

She'll be a teen late this year. Her favorite is the 10/22 but we only had the bolt action 22LR with us yesterday. She has yet to shoot an AR but I think once she does......yes that will be on her birthday wish list.

Looks like a good ole time. Good for you. It is a great bonding experience. From the time I was a child my father included all of us in the shooting world. At 5 I had my first Daisy BB gun. At 7 I had a .22LR pistol. At 10 I had a 410 shotgun. We never had toy guns, since there were firearms in the house and you did NOT play with guns. Squirt guns were another matter

My brother and I take his kids hunting and shooting as well. The oldest at 7 respects firearms and nature more because of it. She even said, "Thank you, piggy." one time at a BBQ to her short ribs because she understood an animal gave it's life so she could eat. She's a great kid and will grow up better balanced and respectful than most of these youths because of it.

As some already said: if this were a more common occurrence...

Good job! My oldest girl, who's 17, loves the AK74, the 10/22 and the S&W Governor! My 12 yo daughter likes her 'tacticool' 10/22. She's waiting to go shoot up her 1D poster!

The people who think that is wrong are the same people that have never shot a gun and don't think anybody should. For the rest of us this is just part of growing up. Good for you and forget them. The problem is more people should be doing this!
