I had probably the same guy offer it to me over the weekend for a rifle I have listed on Armslist. Sounds like he's desperate to get rid of the thing.

Yeah I kind of got the feeling he was a wee bit dodgy. I told him I'd think about it. I was leaning more toward declining the trade but I wanted more info. It was more, having a laser designator like the ND3 that could be focused to use as a laser pointer. Not really after blinding aspect of it. I will be passing up on it. I can pass along his info if anyone else is interested haha. Thanks for the info

This! Not just the purchase and possession, but if you were to happen to use as intended, it would be very unfortunate for you. My brother's friend got in trouble with Ft. Collins PD years ago for shining a green laser on a house throwing a party. He had no idea you couldn't do that. Be safe.
