Damn. Speeding ticket...

Just got nailed going 15 over. 4 points and 169 bucks. If I just send the money it is 2 points. Two things are clear to me after this.


1) I really need to register this car, been driving it for three months now with no plates and I just narrowly missed getting it impounded today.
2) Clearly what saved me previously on speeding tickets was the Ooh-Rah Marine Licence plate I had. Back to point one.


Meh, I will take care of it next week. Never put off tomorrow what you can put off today.

If you go to court and speak to the assistant DA you can likely have the ticket reduced to 0 points if you agree to go to traffic school.

if you speed a lot do yourself a favor and buy a valentine one radar detector when i used to speed it saved me SO many times

I got one Monday...11 over, $345. Didn't even know I was speeding, the speed limit on the highway there should be at least 45. I felt like I was crawling along going 35, gave the deputy a friendly wave as I passed by. Wrong, it was a 25.

What I take away is that I should be like a friend of mine. He gets a ticket for going 90 in a 55 and it's a $40 fine. I get a ticket for 36 in a 25 and it's a tax stamp or 1k of .223.

I was clocked at 40 in a 25 in Inverness Business Park on the way to my shop.
