Sorry but 3:10 to Yuma was a bad movie all the way around.

Oh Id never put 3:10 to Yuma against the all time great westerns but I did enjoy it.

and while I wouldn't classify it as a western I love No country for old men, ranks towards the top of my favorite movies all time.

The Gang That Couldn't Shoot Straight.

The 60's and early 70's of my ute were spent at 1 of 2 movie theaters back east. Watching them in CINEMASCOPE OR PANAVISION. Craziest thing, i was allowed to WALK to the movies an easy 15 City Blocks from my folks apartment.

Then after moving to "suburbia" i walked to the VFW where they had saturday matinee's. Among them were EVERY Abbott & Costello MEET's (Frankenstein, the Wolfman etc) 3 Stooges. Now a days do kids even go to movies?? How the hell does one watch and appreciate, AGE OF ULTRON, OR UNCOMMON VALOR on a 4" cell phone screen??

That's a partial list of movies . There's more but the minds a little foggy this a.m.
That's a good list Jim. A big +1 on Shannondoah, but it tears my heart out every time at the end. Jimmy Stewart was great in westerns. I would add Big Jake and Cahill U.S. Marshall too.

    Silverado.
Sometimes people trip and fall down stairs.
Sometimes assholes push people down stairs.
That doesn't mean "stairs are bad" nor does it make someone who pushes someone down the stairs any less of an asshole.

Where is the Remake of Stagecoach? Released in 1966.
Filmed at the Caribou Ranch and the cast stayed in Boulder in the summer of 1965.
The bus would pick up the extras at the Harvest House. Slim Pickens rode a Harley up the Canyon.
Ann Margaret insisted she wanted a motorcycle to ride and the staff got her a small engine Japanese bike.
It was a kick seeing her chase Slim Pickens up the canyon.
A bunch of CU students and locals were hired as extras.
    A great summer.
