Default Is this a good deal?

First I am not saying where i found this, who is selling this, and I am not trying to sell this. I am still on 30 day probation and do not want to break any rules, I just want to know if you guys think this is a good deal?

    PMC .233 55Grs, FMT-BT - $1500 rounds for $810?

All the ammo I have used is 5.56 never shot .223 would I notice a difference? Should I just keep trying to get 5.56?

PS please do not PM me about it I don't want to break the rules, I'm already on probation and I don't remember breaking the law...

That's a pretty reasonable price considering many places are asking $1 a bullet.

If your rifle is chambered 5.56 NATO you won't have have any problem shooting .223. The only ammo I have run through my rifle up to this point has been .223. I believe where people run into issues is firing 5.56 in a rifle chambered for .223.

That's .54 a round - so not too shabby for commercial brass. .223 tends to be lower pressure hence lower velocity and lower recoil then true 5.56. You will almost certainly notice the lower recoil and depending on your rifle it may not cycle as well.

Yep barrel is a 5.56 NATO, was wondering more about the performance differences between the 2.

Color me retarded, but I have never seen .223 not work in a 5.56 unless you already have some idiot carbine gas on a 24 inch barrel or something similiarly crazy.

I bought 2.5k of this in Nov. from Cabela's at $5.99 a box. That's less than .30 a round. I understand prices now are drastically different but you wouldn't catch me paying .54 a round for PMC Bronze even in a time like this.
