Thank you. I'm not saying that either side, drunk vs. stoner, is better than the other in regards to firearm handling. I don't believe drunks or stoners should be in possession of firearms. If you're addicted to a substance, illegal or otherwise, that is a problem and adding a gun to the mix only makes things 100x worse. My point in this debacle is, IF a guy walked into my gun store with a pot leaf on his shirt and he had interests in purchasing a firearm, I'd tell him to pound sand. People don't wear shirts like that because they think the leaf on the front looks "cool", it's a statement. As it was mentioned earlier, marijuana may be legal at the state level but not at the federal level. Also, I'm not a criminal defense attorney, so unlike them, I have a conscience and want to know when I go to bed at night I didn't knowlingly sell a gun to a damn addict. I've denied private sale to people in the past because I had a funny feeling about the person who was interested in purchasing. As the owner of the item, you can choose to do business with whomever you choose, that's the beauty of it. If people get their thong in a twisted up knot because you tell them "No" for whatever reason, so be it. Hand them an Obama doll and tell them to cuddle with it and that'll make all the bad shit go away.
