I had to replace the recoil spring in my P229 .40 cal. It seemed to be fine when I was shooting regular rounds through it, but got all messed up when shooting higher grain hollow points through it.

Anybody else come across this? Am I supposed to change out the spring to a stronger one when shooting the higher grain ammo? Is there a spring that would work for any type of ammo?
