Just got a Steyr AUG A3 for 2300$.
Owned a real Aug, was concerned with parts availability, owned a couple MSARs, was concerned about parts once they went out of biz, got rid of them all. Have you tried out an AR? Lots of parts, lots of mods, pretty easy to work on.
I am just gonna write everything here at once.
Yeah, MSAR does lock back. IMHO good bulpup rifle.
I think PeteAthens and some other sites sells some of A1 to A3 parts

I agree A3 just little more expensive than newest MSAR STG556.
BTW, where/what is the other Steyr clone company that came out near same time as MSAR?
ETA: Found it. It was TPD USA AXR

I'm going to do a little research on the Tavor here shortly.
Really leaning towards the Steyr but not sure I want to invest hundreds of dollars in mags when I have a couple of AR mags on hand that would work in the Tavor.
Seriously though.... I like to have a few of anything that will be my "go to" type of gun. I like the idea of being able to take parts off other guns if I ever had to. Having a serious peice of firepower like any of the guns you are looking at that could be a SHTF gun, but won't because I know the chances of finding parts makes me lose interest in them pretty quick. In my opinion, once the novelty wears off, it becomes just that, a novelty. I learned my lesson after spending many many thousands in bullpups over the years that I never end up keeping them very long.... Hell, I still have a Steyr sticker on the back of my vehicle, just no bullpups in the safe.
edit.... But if you get one, can I shoot it?

I sold my FS2000 StandardFactoryOptics to fund SCAR16s.
It would've been hard to do a straight trade with SCAR16s during pre-panic time. However, I actually had $400 surplus by selling used FS2000Optic, and bought NIB SCAR 16s.
I just sold my 1911TRPOperator and TaserX26 to fund TAVOR, but price of TAVOR is not stabilizing yet.
BTW, my SHTF rifle will be one that is reliable and light weight.
