Damn, for only 4 over. That's actually embarrassing for the rest of the LEO's, no wonder most people dislike them. I've let 20 mph go and only write for +/- 13 over. I pull over for less but don't ticket unless your disrespectful then speeding is speeding.

Oh I hear ya. I don't bag on most cops. I have some good buddies that are cops. I always show police the utmost respect. I was absolutely floored by the ticket, but I was speeding. Oh well it's done now.

I would feel better paying speeding fines if the money went to the local fire departments or similar entities. Where do the revenues from the fines go? Doesn't some of it go to schools?

Back when I used to get a lot of tickets and have the time to appear in court, I would ask about taking classes, or other things to reduce the tickets, or points, or whatever. I got shut down EVERY time. People always say, "Just offer to take traffic school," but it was never an option for me.
