    Default Gunsmoke 45 Cerkote Estimate was crazy $$$

    I've been looking for local shops to Cerekote my stripped lower, stripped upper and hand-guard. Most quotes have been around $50 to $70 per part depending on the shop, certified or not. The three parts together would run me $150 to $210 + tax. However, here is the quote I got from Gunsmoke 45 inc.;
    "...it will run you around $700-900 for the parts in one color. at the moment we are 1.5 years out on gunsmithing work and it will be 2-3 months be for we will be taking on new work.
    Wow, that would be double for what I paid for the parts! A tad on the high side, but that's just my 2 cents.

    Haven't you seen the TV show?

    $7500 for a Mossberg MVP and a S&W governor, and you'd expect them to be anywhere near reasonable on any service?

    Those lawyers aren't cheap.

    Did ya throw a block of silver on the counter and tell him to take it?

    I think the 18 month wait is a bit retarded too. Sounds like they don't wanna do the work. What was/is the name of this show?
