Default Michigan dad OC at daughter's school- NOTHING happens...

Nope, not even panic and/or pandemonium. I watched most of the video and even the school deputy pointed out that no one even noticed. Story is, MI allows those with a permit to carry on school grounds (although I'm not totally sure what permit that is). Dad takes his trusty .45, puts it on his hip, turns on his cellphone video camera and, after calling PD and school officials, proceeds to visit his daughter's school open carrying. Nothing happens! No one so much as even breaks out into panic. Video in the story...

It's very interesting to me that he can open carry on school grounds but not conceal carry. Even the deputy thought that was screwy. I'm glad he exercised his rights and it was a non-event.

I open carry almost all the time and no one freaks. Not to jinx myself or anything. It's just more proof that people don't notice anything nor do they freak out at the drop of a hat. Children (little kids) tend to notice first, and if there are a lot of them where I am, I will cover it. It's a double retention holster, but I don't need some curious kid messing with it and having their parents freak the hell out.

    Why not just conceal, always?

A lot of the time I do, but when I just get off work or going to work, I don't bother.
