I've probably seen over a thousand bands play since the mid-80's. Slayer in 1992 was hands down the most batshit crazy I've ever seen a crowd.

Agreed, Slayer fans are some of the most dedicated fans I've ever encountered and that applies to every genre of music. In the late 90's they played a show at Red Rocks and they weren't the headliner. I'd say about 40% of the crowd left after Slayer played it was hilarious. I really wish I was old enough to see them play in the late 80's early 90's.
