Default Steven Spielburg to direct 'American Sniper'

Looks like Steven Spielberg is going to direct Bradley Cooper as Chris Kyle in the movie version of 'American Sniper'.
    Interesting.

Well if the movie is half is good as the book it will a tribute to a awesome soldier and human being and one bad mfer. Spielburg only takes on stuff he can knock out of the park so it should be interesting to so what way he goes at it. The book is a good read but I'm not sure how you do justice to one of best snipers in out day in a movie fit for public viewing.

He's a good director, but I don't much care for his politics. I'm not expecting to be impressed.

The book was great, if the movie is half as good as the book it should be better than anything out lately.

I think Cooper could do alright... he hasnt done anything like this before, but he is one of those guys that can do a lot.. not my first choice, but still. and hes been producing it for awhile I guess...

trying to think about like a plot line for the movie?? the book is basically him telling stories, which is awesome dont get me wrong, but potentially hard to translate..
