I especially love this kind of BS from gun shops. I want to say "you know your competitors have that same magazine for MSRP, which is a third of what you are charging", or "that pistol is in stock 5 miles away from here for $50 under MSRP and you will never get that extra $100 out of anyone."
But instead I just leave knowing they will never get a single cent from me.
I will not abide this abomination. (1224)

I've often wondered about this - is it that this forum really does just have a better class of people than on AL, or is it simply that we're all held somewhat accountable on here?
I think its the latter. AL listings are much more anonymous than posting in the trading post here (that is unless you're not an active member of this community ... but that's another thread).
I understand people's frustration with the volatility of the current market (and the really dumb and lopsided "deals" being offered as a result) but I don't understand why it occupies so much of people's time. If you don't think its a fair offer, ignore it. Either everyone ignores the seller (and they don't get to sell their stuff) or someone else comes along that doesn't think the offer is unfair so they buy it (thus disproving the "unfairness" of the offer).
This is how Adam Smith's "Invisible Hand" works ... its not some sort of moral failing on the part of the sellers, its simply people selling high in a sellers market or its dumb people over pricing their stuff and not getting anywhere.
Modern liberalism is based on the idea that reality is obligated to conform to one's beliefs because; "I have the right to believe whatever I want".
