    Default Colorado Gun Collectors Show

Anyone ever been to this one? It's May 18th.

I have never been, but think I may attend since it's only once a year.

If anyone has been, let me know if you thought it was worth attending. I'm not looking for PMags, SKS's or $100.00 bricks of .22, I'm just hoping it may be a good time, kind of like gun shows used to be. If they had a load of WWII 1911's and Lugers, I'd be especially interested.

I might go to see what's there, but I'm not expecting much. Probably be too much like Tanner, just with older guns.

I went to the show a couple of years ago. Lots of interesting collector older guns. Not the AR AK Poly crowd that you see at Tanner.
It was a really large show overflowing to the large rooms on the east of the main room used for Tanner. Took all day, but I saw a lot.
There was buying and selling going on, but bring lots, I mean lots of money.

Yeah, I went once. Not really a "buyers" show, unless you've got deep pockets and are looking for rare and collectable stuff. But it's a great show to see some really obscure and bizarre firearms that you've never seen before. I didn't try to take my camera in, been turned away at shows before with a camera....but if they'll allow it, you could get some photos of some really neat guns. There was one old guy that had a beautiful large wooden display case setup, that was loaded with some of the most beautiful and bizarre guns I've ever seen, very complex and ornate. I just stood there with my mouth open.

A LOT of guns that make you say "Jesus, WTF is that? WhereTF did he find it? HowTF much did it cost? Wow."

If you're into neat old guns, I'd definitely recommend it. Kind of like a mobile museum with changing, private displays. A lot of really old guns, as in hundreds of years old. Plus all the usual stuff up through WWII era. There was a collection of Mauser rifles from every country that ever made them, I think more countries than ever made AK47's.

Huge show, wear good walking shoes and don't take the wife unless she is an avid hiker and really like old guns. There is always cool guns to see, some quite historic. If you never been then you should take the day to explore it.

I quenched my first Enfield fettish there. I do like the show. Like everyone has said, lots of cool stuff to see and buy if you have the itch.

I like it much better than Tanner. Some real history and lots to learn. I've gone the past couple of years.
