    In summary...

At the LGS, take your ID and a copy of your PCS orders. On the 4473, list CO as your state of residence, regardless of what it says on your DL. The LGS do it all the time. They know the drill (if they don't, leave... quickly).

For a FTF, tell the guy exactly what the situation is prior to meeting. I can understand if a guy will balk if he sees my Florida DL, even if it has a Colorado address on it (and yes, mine does) so I always bring it up prior to anyone wasting gas on the trip. Direct them to the BATF website if necessary. 9/10, they look at my .mil ID and they're satisfied. The other guys look at my FL DL and see the CO address and they're happy. The key is early communication. FTF deals can be a little nerve wracking when dealing with someone you don't know. Surprises don't help anything.

Yeah, Big 5 won't sell to me. They have a sweet sale going on through tomorrow for a cheap shottie. I guess they don't get my money.

Thanks for the tips everyone, from in store to FTF purchases. It's so much easier acquiring info here then it is from the 'legal' websites. You all rock! Cheers!
