    Knew. In fact it nearly ruined chiklis' career before it began. Wasn't it Burt Reynolds that got it kick started again some how. He'll, now I am going to have to google it to refresh my cobwebby memory.

    ETA: Yep, it was Burt. This "Dinner for Five" episode was where I heard the story first. I think this was what drew me to The Shield, too.

    Correct. he did some low rent things until THE SHIELD. For those who watched, it was the only police show that mirrored a "corrupt" PD [Rampart Div] YET not one Police agency came out calling for a boycott of the show.
