I often see a P-47 Thunderbolt fly over my house in Parker, but I can't find out where it's from. None of the airports around here will 'fess up to knowing anything about one. There's no mistaking the shape of the fuselage and the wings, the sound of the engine, and the speed of that sucker, it flat moves right along. I'd just like to see it up close.
There is a Sea Fury that flies out of Centennial airport. Wing is similar...never heard of a P-47 around here, but if there is one, I'd love to see it too!

On veterans day, there were 4 F-16's in tight formation that flew right over my house (along the hogback) and made a 90 degree turn to the north. They couldn't been more than 1,500 ft AGL....I could see the pilots! Makes me want to go flying again!
My wife and I were sitting around the house the other day and I saw a glimps of it out the window and my first thought was it was a Slurry Bomber going to a forest fire or refueling. But now I think it was the B-17 we saw. KILROY WAS HERE!. I should of known something was up because it was heading East.
