Good teachers can get burned out and their teaching abilities suffer. Great teachers get burned out, but improve and engage the students.
I had a history teacher in HS that to this day remains my favorite teacher (never mind that he's a conservative). He always kept classes exciting, entertaining, and highly educational. I learned more in one semester from him that I could have in two from any teacher.
